4. Describe the work.
Across the Middle East and beyond, Arab women are rapidly changing the business, academic and social entrepreneurial landscape as they become more influential. Monitor approached Kinship with the brief of connecting these women so that they can share their ideas and experiences, wherever they may be. The solution also had to allow Monitor to share its resources and intellectual property, thereby enforcing its position as a thought leader.

So what did we do? Well, we created a private, invitation-only social network for Arab women from round the world to connect with each other. There is a wealth of knowledge that can be tapped into so we created Halaqa; an online space for women to meet, share resources and collaborate on topics ranging from professional to academic to philanthropic. Every member has a profile online and members can create interest groups around any topic. Members can post information about events that they recommend to the community and they can add case studies that they feel will help others.

Very excited about this one. This could have far-reaching impacts upon the wider society in the Middle East.
