The brief Sales of Microsoft’s three new products: Windows Vista, the 2007 Microsoft Office system and Microsoft Exchange 2007 were down. Something needed to be done; so we hatched a plan to build and accelerate sales. The solution Analysis showed how disjointed information on the solutions was causing a major problem. So an integrated campaign was created; driving ITDMs to the ‘Your Dream Office’ site as a single, focussed, highly interactive way of evangelising the products. The results Microsoft set a target of $600k sales for the campaign as a whole. With only the first wave of DM the campaign exceeded this: generating revenue of almost $1.3m. The site went viral, with the overall campaign providing triple digit ROI. Qualitative feedback also showed a positive impact on brand perception. |
